Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women, from those who have completed the eighth grade up to 21 years of age. Venturing’s purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults, based on the ALPS model:  Adventure, Leadership, Personal Growth, and Service.

Meetings:

Crew 75 meets on the first Sunday of the month (except on holiday weekends, when it takes place on the second Sunday), at 3pm, in the FLC’s Youth Meeting Room.

Activities:

In addition to monthly meetings, Crew 75 gets together for at least one activity a month.  Activities in the past have included backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, caving, COPE (ropes course), Habitat for Humanity workday, Shakespeare Tavern volunteering, escape rooms, game nights, and other indoor/outdoor adventures and service opportunities.

Membership:

Members are registered through Boy Scouts of America.  Scouts, BSA, registered with any troop may join the crew without additional registration costs by filing an application.  There is a small additional charge to offset the cost of Crew 75’s insurance and operating expenses.
