Do you have an old, tattered American flag that needs to be retired?

Proper disposal of the American flag is a sign of respect. It honors our history, the people who fight to protect our freedom and is an homage to the reverence for our great nation.

When a flag is worn, tattered, ripped, or soiled beyond repair, it is no longer fit to serve as a symbol of our country and should be retired and disposed of properly. Jonathan Blaesing of Transfiguration Boys Scout Troop 75 built and installed a flag retirement box located near the gym entrance of the FLC building to ensure flags are properly disposed of.

You can drop off your flag(s) in the box, and the Scouts will ensure they are retired properly.
