From the beginning of the shutdown for the pandemic, our Vincentians continued to serve our neighbors in need. We kept our help line open and calls were promptly returned. Although we cannot personally visit during this time, we were able to handle requests through phone calls. Our food pantry became a “drive-thru” event to minimize any physical contact while continuing to serve our friends in need. When we requested donations for our food pantry, you responded with great generosity, donating whatever we asked for and more. We asked for your financial support so that we could continue helping people with rent, utilities, and car payments and you responded by increasing your contributions. We are getting calls from people who didn’t qualify for unemployment benefits; and people who applied for and are still waiting to receive an unemployment check. We anticipate even more requests when benefits run out and unemployment remains high.
We thank God for our loving and generous parish family, and ask for your continued support. If you are interested in learning more about us and the work that we do, you can contact us at email@example.com. God bless you.
