SVdP: Actions Speak Louder Than Words
That’s the moral of the story in today’s Gospel. Like the first son who ultimately obeyed his father by laboring in the vineyard, Vincentians value actual hands-on service to our Neighbors in need…versus mere declarations of concern for the poor. St. Vincent said it himself, “We must love God, but let it be in the work of our bodies and the sweat of our brows.”
Come to the next St. Vincent de Paul meeting on Monday, September 28, at 7 p.m. in the Adult Lounge. No sweat!

Carry onCan you help restock the pantry shelves? Drop off any of the following in the designated bins in the narthex:
- Canned fruit (peaches, pears and pineapple)
- Cooking oil (32 and 40 ounce bottles)
- Cream soup (mushroom and chicken)
- Poise pads
- Adult diapers (large and extra large)

The food pantry is a volunteer organization and as such usually only checks your donations every other day or so. Please do not leave items requiring refrigeration or freezing in the narthex or upstairs in the collection cart outside our door.
Please donate only the items requested above. While we appreciate your generosity, our lack of storage space makes it difficult to store more than the needed items. Thank you!
