Ready to go beyond the basics and deepen your understanding of Sacred Scripture? This course explores the unfolding story of salvation and helps you discover the connections between the Old and New Testaments. Together, we will:
- Trace the major events, key figures, and covenants of the Old Testament from Adam through King David
- Explore the wisdom and beauty of the Psalms and Proverbs
- Gain an overview of the four Gospels and their unique perspectives on the life and mission of Jesus Christ
- Learn about each Gospel’s authorship, historical setting, purpose, audience, sources, traditional symbols, and distinctive stories
- Discover how the Old and New Testaments illuminate one another, including St. Augustine’s famous insight: “The New Testament is hidden in the Old, and the Old Testament is revealed in the New.”
Whether you are looking to strengthen your biblical foundation or deepen your appreciation for God’s plan of salvation, this course will help you read Scripture with greater confidence, understanding, and faith.
