Welcome to our dedicated information page about a vital healthcare facility serving a rural community near Belle Anse in Haiti. This medical clinic is situated in an area previously supported by a Catholic school built by Transfiguration parish between 2000 and 2005. During this period, a nonprofit organization called HERO was established by parishioners of Transfiguration to support community development and aid efforts. Led by Bruce Goddard, HERO has been actively involved in various missions, including medical and engineering projects in Haiti, with ongoing support from dedicated volunteers and donors.

In 2021, HERO initiated the construction of a much-needed medical clinic in this remote region, with the project reaching completion in January 2025. The clinic now provides essential healthcare services to the local population. To ensure sustainable operations, the nonprofit SEHMF was created as a separate entity to support the clinic’s ongoing needs, with funding managed by dedicated supporters and donors, primarily members of the Transfiguration parish community.
