The Knights of Columbus have been keeping busy this past spring!  See what we’ve been doing the last few months:

  • Held 6 Friday Fish Frys during Lent, serving an average of 200 people, while recognizing other church ministries, and raising funds for Knights’ projects.
  • Raised over $1,100 during the Raffle ticket sales, to be donated to the Georgia Special Olympics
  • Donated to the purchase of the 12 marble benches to be placed in our new Columbarium and Memorial Garden.
  • Served 60-80 meals every Tuesday to homeless folks at the Shady Grove Baptist Church on Bells Ferry Road.
  • installed new flooring, cabinets and countertops at the soup kitchen at Shady Grove.
  • Repaired flooring at the Shady Grove clothing distribution rooms, and donated & installed new shelving throughout the storage rooms.
  • Provided Honor Guards for Confirmation liturgies at Transfiguration and surrounding church parishes.
  • Replaced the backyard deck, stairs and handrails for long-time parishioners.
  • Continue to strengthen our faith during Wednesday Rosary, Friday morning Bible study, and Friday evening “Holy Hour” Adoration.
