Deacon Dave was ordained in 2018 and has been a Parishioner of Transfiguration since May 1986.
A retired Registered Nurse, Deacon Dave and his family are natives of Buffalo, NY and still keep many connections to Western New York State. Especially the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, chicken wings and “real Buffalo pizza”! Just ask him sometime about what a Beef on Weck is!
He states: “I am the proudest father of two children and four grandchildren and am totally devoted to the memory of my dear wife Suzanne who passed away in November 2023”.
Deacon Dave enjoys the privilege of serving as the Chaplain for the Knights of Columbus and the Parish Stephen Ministry. And he also loves singing Hebrew folk songs in Yiddish at the annual Seder Meal!
Deacon Dave maintains a focus on re-evangelization which keeps the Faithful motivated and involved in their love of Jesus the Christ.
He says: “I want to help the Faithful to come to Church regularly and often because they want to! Not just because they feel they have to or need to. The Church and the love of God is always here for you!”.
