Each winter, our parish provides a safe, warm, and welcoming overnight shelter for women experiencing homelessness. Through this ministry, we offer more than shelter—we provide dignity, compassion, and hope to those in need.
The Transfiguration Warming Center will open on December 1, and we need your help!
We welcome both new and returning volunteers. Opportunities include greeting guests, assisting with meals, showers and laundry, and providing overnight support. No prior experience is necessary. We will provide the training and guidance needed to help you serve confidently and compassionately.
Volunteer Training – Choose One Session:
Saturday, November 14 | 10:00 a.m. – Noon | FLC Youth Room
Thursday, November 19 | 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. | Adult Education Room
During training, we will review all volunteer opportunities, explain Warming Center operations, and provide practical guidance on understanding and responding to the unique challenges faced by women experiencing homelessness. You only need to attend one training session.
Whether you can volunteer for a few hours or take on a recurring role, your time and talents can make a meaningful difference.
Please consider joining us this winter! Together, we can continue making Transfiguration a place of warmth, welcome, and Christ-centered service.
