Adult Faith Formation – Sojourners
We are on this great journey together.
A “sojourner” is defined as a person who resides temporarily in a place. An adult faith life should not be static, but continually develop and flourish. Come grow in faith on the journey with us!
The Intent of Sojourners is to…
- Invite and Enable Ongoing Conversion to Jesus in Holiness of Life,
- Promote and Support Active Membership in the Christian Community,
- Call and Prepare Adults to Act as Disciples in Mission to the World.
Our Adult Faith Formation offerings aim to enhance the faith dimensions of an adult life, including understanding and communicating the faith, developing skills needed for personal growth, enriching the experience of relationships and of family life, promoting public service and fostering concern for the common good.

Journey Faith Formation (for Adults)
Want to dive deeper into your faith? Join us for adult small groups offered during all Journey Faith Sessions. We meet every other week and would love for you to join our groups:
Please note: For the first 8 weeks, we will be doing the Alpha course and meet weekly. Beginning November 2, we will resume with the Our Great Journey curriculum.
- Sundays, 10:00 a.m., 12:15 p.m. (Adult groups only in Spanish) or 6:00 p.m.
- Tuesdays 5:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays 6:00 p.m. (Adult groups in English & Spanish)
Advent by Candlelight and ABC Brunch are two events designed to help the women of Transfiguration and their guests to refocus on the season of Advent – a precious time of waiting and anticipation. During both events, we will gather for light fare and desserts and take a break from the busyness of the season with reflections and music.
Table Hostesses are needed! Table Hostesses provide table settings, holiday-themed decorations, candles, and light fare/dessert for their table. Hostesses can partner with one or two other women to host a table and invite friends and family to make up a table of 8 women.
All Table Hostesses are asked to invite one or more women who are not actively participating in parish life to be part of their table for this special event.
Hostess Table reservations open on October 27. Tables are limited, so sign up early to host a table at ONE of the two events.
