We are combining the 8th and 9th graders for this retreat. We believe this will be a wonderful time for 9th graders to grow in their faith and be paired with an 8th grader to help them with the transition to high school.
March 20-22, 2026
Includes: Retreat Center, Meals, Materials, Large & Small Group Time, Activities, Games, Music, Faith Sharing, Friends, and Fun
The purpose of this retreat is to have fun and to prepare students mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for a relationship with Our Savior. We will spend time building friendships with each other in ChrisTeen. We will explore such subjects as faith-filled friendships, God’s love being as vast as the ocean, how we all encounter stormy seas, life can be smooth sailing with Jesus, Jesus is like a lighthouse, and we will look at footprints in the sand. We will address these topics in the context of our faith in God and in the presence of the church community.
This retreat is part of our 8th and 9th grade curriculum. We ask that you and your teen strongly consider the upcoming retreat. We encourage students to attend with an open mind and heart. Often teens are hesitant about participating in this retreat, but they quickly relax and have a great weekend. Many of them even volunteer to facilitate the following year!

Our goal at Transfig is share the Word of God, to Praise & Worship with one another, and to walk with the teens on their Journey towards a lifelong relationship with Christ so that they will know Him, love Him and constantly seek Him. Through personal testimonies, intimate small group time, powerful adoration and prayer experiences, games, and activities our goal is to build a strong community of faith.
