The Crescere Fund for Sharing the Good News was started by Fr. Eric Hill in memory of the late Fr. Fernando Molina Restrepo, who died on January 9, 2025. The two priests at one point wanted to form a company called “crescere,” which means “to grow” in Latin. They envisioned it as a way of living out the Great Commission to “go forth and make disciples of all nations.”

“The priesthood of Fr. Fernando was about sharing the good news and helping people in their relationship with Jesus.” Fr. Eric shared. “He lived this out in both the English and Spanish speaking communities for over 25 years.”

The fund will provide application-based grants to support parishes in our archdiocese striving to live out the Great Commission or to support Hispanic ministries at parishes.

“I too have lived my priesthood with the motto of ‘Feed my sheep.’ I would like this fund to help parishes fulfill the great commission (Luke 24:44-49) and to help parishes with Hispanic ministry,” Fr. Eric expressed.
