“Let Your Light Shine” – 6th & 7th Grade Retreat

Friday, February 7, 2025 from 7-9pm Parents & Teens

Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 10am-6pm Teens (Teens will attend the 5pm Mass together)

Parents meet in the Parish Center (English – Adult Lounge; Spanish – Adult Ed). Teens meet at the Family Life Center.

This retreat is designed to address self confidence, self-esteem, stress, anxiety and depression. We ask a parent to attend the Friday evening meeting in order to encourage effective communication between you and your teen. We want you to be fully informed of everything that we are going to cover with your teen on Saturday and we encourage you to have open communication with your child about any and all of the subjects that we cover.

We will spend time focusing on positive self-image and the importance of having self confidence while making decisions. The more our teens know that they are perfectly loved by our Lord, the more they will have the confidence to follow Him in their decision making.

“God’s Great Love” – 8th & 9th Grade Retreat

We are combining the 8th and 9th graders for this retreat. We believe this will be a wonderful time for 9th graders to grow in their faith and be paired with an 8th grader to help them with the transition to high school.

Friday, March 7, 2025 at 7pm to Sunday, March 9 12:00pm

Includes: Retreat Center, Meals, Materials, Large & Small Group Time, Activities, Games, Music, Faith Sharing, Friends, and Fun

The purpose of the retreat is to allow 8th & 9th grade students to understand and know God’s Great Love. We are all on a Journey with our Lord – sometimes the journey may be smooth sailing or a bit rocky, but either way, they are held down by Christ.

In Matthew 16:15 Jesus asks his disciples, “Who do you say that I am?”  As modern day disciples, we are asked the same question by Jesus.  How do you respond? This retreat will help the teens to answer this question.  On the retreat the teens will have opportunities to explore their views of Jesus.  They will be challenged to grow in the way they understand and relate to Jesus.

The retreat is facilitated by a group of our high school students who vividly remember what it was like to embark on this new phase in life.  They have generously given time out of their busy schedules because they feel they have learned so much along the way and want to share their experiences with our upcoming freshmen.

This retreat is part of our 8th & 9th grade curriculum.  We ask that you and your teen strongly consider this retreat. We encourage students to attend with an open mind and heart.  Often teens are hesitant about participating in their first overnight retreat, but they quickly relax and have a great weekend.  Many of them volunteer to facilitate the next year!
