What’s going on with the Knights of Columbus?

The Knights of Columbus are keeping active this summer, and ask men of the parish to join us in serving this parish and our community.  Activities that are coming up:

  • The Knights Honor Guard will be participating in assorted liturgies and processions in June as the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage travels through Atlanta on their way to the Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis in July.
  • The Knights host our annual Seminarian Appreciation Mass and Gala Dinner on Thursday, July 11th.  Join us in honoring the 20+ Seminarians at 6:30 pm Mass, celebrated by Bishop Tran.  Then enjoy a delicious dinner in the Social Hall, entertainments by the “Melodious Monks”, special presentations, as well as the kickoff for the November “Carry the Cross” event which raises funds for these Seminarians.  Dinner tickets available on the Council’s website (https://uknight.org/CouncilSite/index.asp?CNO=10362).
  • The Knights will provide food and drinks at the “Seminarian Celebration Cornhole Tournament” on Saturday, July 13th at Blessed Trinity High School in Roswell.  Sponsored by The Quest Catholic Radio, this family event & tournament raises funds for the Seminarians, too.
  • Knights are partnering with the national non-profit “Sleep in Heavenly Peace” to build 30 bunk beds on Saturday, July 20th, for kids who need a bed.  The beds will be delivered and installed to families in need the following weekends.

For additional information about any of these events, or to join the Knights and become one of 2 million Catholic Knights who serve, contact Grand Knight Mike Meehan at (404) 374-9074, or Cadmast54@gmail.com
