The staff has been working with members of the parish and Leadership to bring back this beloved tradition in a New Way!
Instead of paper Name Tags, we want to start printing a Substantial Tag, on a Lanyard for each member of the parish. These will differ from the White Badges that the Staff, Group Leaders, and Verified Ministers wear around the parish campus.
The White Badges are only given to Ministers who have gone through the parish verification process, been background checked, and Current Virtus/Safe Environment Training.
Parish Name Tags will be for you to Welcome, Celebrate, Serve and Grow with your community at Mass, Faith Formation Events and Parish Wide Gatherings. We encourage all of our members to submit a form to get a Name Tag Pre-Made..
Name Tag Sundays will be on the First Sunday of Each Month going forward, the same weekend as Monthly Recognitions! So you can say Happy Birthday, Anniversary or Welcome! to those who we’ve celebrated at Mass during a hospitality event or faith formation gathering. We are happy to bring this back to You at Transfiguration in a big way. Join us! You are Called by Name.
